Sam, I know the shipping would likely be about $100 +, I just received an order from Finland and it was a little over $100 ( got it in less than a week ! ). Did you also get a dash panel ? If so, what was the quality ? Gene

Different countries, different postal systems, and shippers used. If you think two weeks is too long, try getting something out of Argentina in anything under two months...and it would be lightening fast at that. The dash section was excellent and would've worked fine had the project for which it was intended not fallen through.

Well this project is more than likely going to be put off until the future when the budget allows.

I had no idea it was going to be that expensive to source some split window parts.
I refuse to use fiberglass, so that seriously limits any non budget busting parts currently available.

The whole reason I want to take on this replica project is to be as accurate as possible.

in this case, accuracy is going to cost a lot of money as you're finding out.

might be cheaper (and wiser investment) to buy a roached out split beetle and build it up. At least then you have a real split which is far more valuable than a converted oval.

Agreed.
Yeah...the whole reason for the accuracy is because the converted "Fat Chicks" I've been seeing play this role stand out like a sore thumb.
