Years ago there was an image floating around of a guy working on a Vanagon with it propped up 45 degrees with a 4x4 (or similar) piece wood. It was on the street and probably in Africa. Does anyone remember this photo and have a link to it?

Rotisserie. Rodders use them to get at the underside of vehicles.

Rotisseries are Used a lot when restoring old Beetles and Ghias, many are home made.

I am going to call that a partial rotisserie

a lift is the safest way to get under a vehicle, unless you have a really deep ditch nearby
