I'd like to replace the plexiglass in my rear jalousie with tempered glass. It is not possible to cut down the original panes to fit, at least not possible for me. Does anyone here know a good way to get custom sized tempered glass?

https://www.onedayglass.com/

They're in Vancouver, WA but they ship. They cut and temper glass in-house with various thicknesses, tinting/frosting options and etc.. It's a division of the same company that makes Motion Windows for trailers & RV's, used to build sliding windows for the ASI/Riviera campers back in the day so they know their stuff for automotive windows too.

As an alternative you might think about Lexan.
3oo times stronger then plexiglass...nice anti-theft since you cannot break it with a hammer.

Does Lexan get scratched?

Thanks. Looks like it will be about $10 a pane if I order 6, plus shipping. Very Happy

Back during my glass shop days we ordered custom size tempered daily. Tritessas correct ,this is your opportunity to customize them in many ways. Not sure but I think you could get them with " low e " coating that really minimizes uv getting in. Can't really imagine why but you can have holes put in them prior to tempering, I don't know, some custom screw through accessory? Polished edges for sure. Be kinda cool if the overlapping edges had and swoop to them, just to make em twice as expensive Rolling Eyes .

Any decent glass shop can order in custom cut and tempered glass to your dimensions. Another option is laminated glass, your local glass shop can supply and cut laminated glass for you. It doesn’t shatter into a million pieces like tempered, but stay glued to the inner lamination. Just like a windshield.

While correct about the lamimated glass, most of those frames use a thinner 1/8" glass which is better suited to tempered. They do make a "Featherweight " laminated glass but it is suseptable to breakage because the frames flex in operation.
Most flat glass shops will be able to have glass fabricated for you, but few Auto glass shops do any fabrication anymore.
