Roof rack clamps

So I’m currently volunteering in a welding shop as an assistant, and I plan to make a 1/2 length roof rack for my bus in my free time. I need to buy 6 clamps, although I’m not sure where to get them. OEM clamps seem very expensive for what they are, sadly I think I have to go aftermarket.

These seem like a good price, but quality may be questionable. Anybody have any experience with these/recommendations?

go look at the salvation army or habitat for humanity restore. No modern cars have drip rails, and I see loads of these at the secondhand shops, on ski carriers, crossbar setups, ect. these old racks are usually only a couple of bucks, and you would get 4 of the clamps off one rack. Old school quality, aged to perfection.

The flea market and Craigslist is also a good place to find roof racks.
