richparker - Oak Creek Canyon was beautiful! You're lucky to get to spend so much time there! We didn't consider the spring water, but we did glide down Slide Rock!

It’s by choice that I live in the Four Corners and travel the area as much as possible, not luck . The spring is piped right out of the ground just north of the Slide Rock SP, it’s free to everyone. People come from miles around and with pickup trucks full of empty bottles to fill. _________________ __________

Southern rock is the best for recalling good times ( and making new ones ). I used to rock Blackfoot's "Train, train" whenever I left the LA area back in my travel days (at 3 am to avoid at least some of the traffic ). _________________ Fat chick owner/operator |

After a wonderful time in Sedona, we continued our cross-country adventure and visited the Grand Canyon. It was too cold to camp in our VW bus so we made our way to Page, Arizona for an overnight stay and some wild surprises in the morning. We had no idea we were at the home of the sandstones and Horseshoe Bend! Enjoy the video! - Peace & Love

What do you do with your furry friends when you wander off - can you leave the vents wide open for air and temp? A lot of nasty things in the desert for a curious kitty - pls be careful.
on the video. Very nice. Consider easing your video transitions off the major bass beat so the viewer doesn't have both auditory and visual transition at the same time - look at how much nicer your transition is to your shared moment than the ones before. _________________ .ssS! |

Manfred58sc - Thank you! A mission of ours is to keep exercising a very simple life (without a house/rent/utilities, new car, credit cards, etc.), so we can continue traveling, capturing our time here, learning and inspiring others to go minimal, so they too can pursue their dreams. It's a key point on our website. If we hadn't took a leap of faith and left South Carolina with just $3,000, our bus and our little design business, we would have never had any of these wonderful adventures with our furry friends. We wouldn't even have a cat or any of these stories to tell. We're meeting more people of all ages who are downsizing and reorganizing their lives, so they too can travel more and go back to appreciating the little things in life.
Abscate - Thank you for your thoughts! Our dog and kitten come with us almost everywhere, but we choose our activities based on temperature and time of day. When we went to the sandstones, they stayed in a pet-friendly hotel room because it was the middle of the day and too hot. When we went to Horseshoe Bend, our dog came with us and our cat stayed in the bus because it was evening time, so there was a cool breeze going through the vehicle. Before we left on our cross-country adventure, we installed solar/aux power, which runs our evaporative air cooler and a Lasko (heavy duty) fan. It all depends on the weather. When we were in Texas, we all took shelter in a pet store to keep everyone out of the killer heat. Their and our safety is our top priority. Now we're in the snow, so it's fluffy outfits and blankies that keep us all warm, but as we head West with Spring approaching, we'll need to be cautious about the heat again. Thanks for asking!
- Peace & Love
Here's our quick video showing how easy the solar/aux power install is:

From Arizona, we made a u-turn on our cross-country adventure and headed back to Colorado for some winter fun! We were blessed with a place to stay and we were hooked up with winter equipment from a local ski shop. Here's our latest video, driving up 10,000 feet in our VW bus and snowboarding at Wolf Creek Ski Area. We hope everyone enjoys it! - Peace & Love

That’s a sweet video of you guys boarding. I want to flip you a bunch of shade for all this video stuff but I can’t. It’s what Xatie and I do. We just don’t “Tape it” but I get it. Carry on. Looks like fun. Enjoy. _________________ Keep on Busin'

While on our cross-country adventure in our VW bus, we made it to Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado, which is home to some incredible ancestral Puebloan cliff dwellings and structures. Enjoy the video! - Peace & Love

Always am amazing place , my family worked with the Hopi Indians discovering hidden burial mounds. We got to really crawl around the area unescorted in the early 70's. _________________ Fat chick owner/operator |

No digging what so ever. My mother worked with the Hopi through the University of Colorado to identify burial sites that were "lost" in oral tradition ( although known to exist ). We walked and drove back roads for 2 months and discovered 4 sites that were confirmed. We never did any digging or even walked on any of the sites. My mom also signed a non-disclosure agreement that we always honored. She was very early into pointing out that burial sites are not open season for archaeologists. They are sacred ground.
I enjoyed getting to know the area as a young person. _________________ Fat chick owner/operator |
