Seal is in really bad condition, I'll replace it.

But I wonder if is this input shaft play is normal? Shocked

Without the support of the needle bearings in the FW gland nut, then yes.

Polish up the tip of that shaft where it engages the needle bearings and lightly coat it with grease.

Do same to the clutch disc splines. Make sure the CD slides on the splines smoothly.

If your little finger is small enough, put a little grease on your finger tip and twirl it inside the gland nut needle bearing pilot bearing, too.

Ditto, I use high temp synthetic brake caliper grease here because of the possible temps.
