So in my bay project we have the 915 and 3.2 flat 6 fitted but trying to figure the best drive shafts to use. Has anyone done this? I guess the options are Bay driveshafts, 911 driveshafts or maybe 944 driveshafts? |

When i installed the 915 and 911 engine into my bay... used bay axles and cv joints. Used adapters to fit bay cv's to the early 915 box's flanges. Found a guy with a lathe who made them. That was back in the 80's.
I used the early 915 which has shorter 4.428 ring and pinion instead of 3.875 to better match ratios using the bay body, as 5th gear is very tall. |

Sounds good mate. Did the transmission output shafts change on the 915 boxes at some time? |

Just another thought. Could you use the bus drive shafts but put on a 911 CV joint on one end of each to mate up to the 915 flange? saves an adapter |
