Hey everyone.
I’m currently working on my friends van. I don’t know much about euro vans but I know some basics. He has been telling me there is exhaust coming from the rear heater behind the passenger seat. Is this normal? If not what are some things I can look at to fix it!
Any advice is appreciated thanks! |

Well, I wouldn't think exhaust coming into the vehicle is normal, hope he's driving with the windows down. I would check under the van to see where the exhaust leak is. It's working its way in somehow so I would look for cracks, rust holes, open seams, etc. Good luck. _________________ '03 MV |

He's got steam coming from a broken heat rear exchanger, gazing into my crystal ball. Ask him if the smoke has a sweet odour. Thats French for smell _________________ .ssS! |

Thanks for the reply! It does have a little sweet odor smell to it. When you say rear exchanger is the the heater core you’re talking about? |

Probably if it is spritzing? The cooling system is under pressure so coolant could spray up, I guess. That pressure is important for your engine so I would explore and fix that asap _________________ .ssS! |
