I have some loose valves I am trying to identify.
Would someone point me to a valve identification guide? I figure for something like this there would be one somewhere. _________________ www.vwnos.com [email protected]

Not all parts are made the same. NOS OE/OEM parts made mainly in West Germany, Early Germany, and Early Brazil are where VW produced the best quality parts and best fitting products.

I've seen catalogs, but they worked backwards: you look up the engine and it gives you the dimensions of the valves. It would be very tiresome to read through it, looking for sizes...
Maybe post a few pictures on reddit, people can identify a lot from memory, and point you in the right direction. Try here, Modok has seen a lot of different valves... |

Towards the back of an SBI catalog there is a section goes by stem size or head diameter (don't recall which), and that should be helpful however,
If it's older than 1970's...it's probably not in there. |

Are these just valves from many types of cars or are they known to be VW aircooled engine valves?
If they are ACVW valves.....you can look in a "Without Guesswork" book. It has valve stem and head diameter and valve total length for all type 1, 2, 3 and 4 engines. Ray |
