Check valve hose, check valve line? I scoured the ads with different descriptions and nothing to be had. I'm sure I have a couple, but like you, where the fuck do I put this stuff? I'll look this weekend, no promises though. |

Randy I will look thru my stock but I don't think I have a spare of that piece. Ken at TheBusco or Avery Air Cooled is a good place to ask. Also you might check with a seller here who appears to be parting buses in CT named BusLust. They have a lot of parts listed here. That part should be on any FI bus but lots of folks cut that stuff pulling engines out. _________________ “Most people don’t know what they’re doing, and a lot of them are really good at it.” - George Carlin |

Isn't that just vacuum hose? Go to your Flaps and cut some to size... or am I missing something? _________________ Brutis Patches Izabich: 1970 VW Transporter - 1776cc DP

Thanks Guys! It is sort of tough finding similar plastic tubing that fits into the little rubber 3 way connector on the air plenum.
I would bet real money that the missing tubing is likely in the shop somewhere, but I can't remember just where I put it. I will get ahold of Ken at the Bus Co.
I don't really have a good source for NEW similar plastic tubing for this and other stuff (like the fuel vapor recovery bottom air feed). Anyone have a good link? |

one end is enlarged for the check valve. It is not a normal piece of tubing. _________________ “Most people don’t know what they’re doing, and a lot of them are really good at it.” - George Carlin |

Welcome!
I was thinking a post with the picture and "vacuum tube" in the title might score it for you. I will look this weekend in my stash of FI parts and see if I have one. _________________ All the redemption I can offer, girl, is beneath this dirty hood

In that case, the plastic that VW uses from the upper to lower brake reservoir would work. It has the 13mm OD and the flare for mounting on the reservoir.
In fact, in the early 75-76 fuel injection models, VW used the 69-70 brake fluid tube for this exact part, and stuck the check valve in front of the fire wall.
I think the later (shorter) brake reservoir connector hose would work perfectly here.

Hi Randy - I looked but don't have one of those spare tubes. Had to get the one I have and the part between the check valve and metal tube from a donor at Interstate as I recall. The only tube I have is the tee to decel - #C. _________________ “Most people don’t know what they’re doing, and a lot of them are really good at it.” - George Carlin |

Steve, thanks for looking. I am still looking around my shop for it and it is likely still in there someplace. Somebody gets in there and leaves a pile empty of Guinness cans everywhere and I think it is me.
I could also likely just try the link that Robbie posted and just use a 3/8" vacuum check valve. I think the check valve is a pretty basic thing.
I have not even had time to send an e-mail off to the fine used parts guys on the samba yet. |

dark Guinness is a good beer - family is of Scot and Irish descent so it fits.
I sent an e-mail to Ken on your behalf to see what he has. Do you have the check valve and clamps etc? Plastic hose forward of the check valve Ok? _________________ “Most people don’t know what they’re doing, and a lot of them are really good at it.” - George Carlin |
