I am looking for the small cushion that goes on the side of the spare tire well....you use a spare tire delete plate and this cushion to extend the width of the rear bed.
If anyone has one they would be willing to sell, or even better can take pictures of and take measurements of cushion, i would be eternally grateful.
Left hand side of lefthand drive bus. |

is the rear cushion custom or what? Usually those rear cushions are custom made. The z-bed delete was a piece of Masonite with 4 clips that hold it in place.

| 1971 Bus....i am trying to get the measurements to make a cushion for my bus....my bus is not available at the moment. |

I do believe Sewfine sells this pad if you want to go that route.

I have one of those from Sewfine. Worth every penny.
Now then: what we also need is for somebody to make some plywood hatch covers for the hole (where the tire went) and sell them on The Samba.
You know those old retired guys who usually make birdhouses or whirley propeller things and then sell them by the side of the road? One of those guys could make it. Somebody with a router. Make it so that it just fits in the hole and doesn't rattle. With a recessed pull thingie.
One could literally make tens of dollars if they just made a few of these things. I would make one myself, but I am far too stupid to work with anything requiring tools. |

Contact Tim Knapp in Oregon. He may still have some. He made the original Z-beds. He is mayor of Wilsonville so you should be able to find contact info. Last I had was a few years back at -
