Ask your freeloader...I mean friend to do a few things for you using his resources first, before you put yourself out for him.
See how he responds and his willingness to put him time/resources out for you first.
If he's got nothing to offer you, you might as well consider yourself his sugar daddy.. |

Maybe it would have taken an afternoon or perhaps a long weekend to help out a fellow VW owner. I was in the same boat once upon a time. I had little to no tools and knowledge but someone took me in, fact he ran a service station and I did cleanup work and odd jobs as he taught me VWs. Recently I helped out a fellow Samba member in fact we rebuilt his engine and did a brake job. I would like to think he learned along the way and will help someone else, that’s paying it forward. Just my opinion |
Yes we did, and Zunde has my undying gratitude.
I try to help out VW owners in my area whenever I can, for free-- done it 3 or 4 times now and am happy to help. They usually offer a 6 pack or something but I never ask for anything. That's the VW community way...
That said, I know Zunde says just pay it forward but I still feel like owe him big time. _________________ I'm the humblest guy on this board.
