Arm rests have to go.
Check the height also. they might be too tall and your head hit the roof. _________________ Glenn

If the seats were to fit (height and width maybe an issue), I like the colour, especially if the seats were to be fitted over carpets the same colour as those they stand (sit?) on now.
Two colour schemes appeal to me for the paint:
Light blue (a VW colour from the 70s) with dark blue on the roof
or
a VW red with a dark wine red (think burgundy) for the roof.
If I were to do my car again - think winning the Lotto - I would do red with red/blue inserts for the seats, sand beige for the carpets, and burgundy red on the roof over the Lotus Beige I have now. _________________ Festina lente - hasten slowly

BRG on german cars bugs me. I know it shouldn't but it does.
A very dark blue, especially if not metallic, just doesn't seem "happy" enough for a Ghia.
A dark red with camel interior is always a winner. _________________ '71 Ghia coupe |

Great if you're prepping a nursery for a new arrival, unless you're with your wife or she'll be the sole driver of it, it'll look like you're batting for the other team. _________________ Everybody born before 1975 has a story, good, bad, or indifferent, about a VW.

A dark red?... What color top? |
I might have mentioned it before, but a red convertible with a black top just seems natural to me, like Vince Vespe's all original cherry red '65:

Ghia seats are
23" wide
22" deep
33" high
My possible replacements are
21" wide
23" deep
36" high
Years ago I put Volvo 142 seats in my Ghia.

Don't forget to measure how high the seat cushions are off the floor. The previous owner of my '70 convertible replaced the seats, and I have no clue what kind of seats they are, but I'm reasonably sure they sit a couple of inches higher than the originals. It's all I can do to fold myself up enough to get in and out with the top up, and then my hair sticks to the headliner if I'm not wearing a cap. (And I'm only 5'8") My elbow won't reach the arm rest on the door, I have to duck my head to see out the side window, and when I stop for a red light I have to pull the visor down and look over the windshield frame to see when it turns green. Fortunately the seats recline, so I can lean them back a couple of extra notches and slide forward off the front. It doesn't help my back on long drives, but at least I can see.
