Well, Dave, ... I have absolutely no idea what your wife looks like, but in theory it I suppose that it may be possible she's Hot enough that I'd be willing to put up with an interior like that in order to keep her Happy and "Willing".
Seriously, "to each their own" - if she love it and you can live with it, then go for it. 
Perhaps you can even incorporate some VW related fabric into the patchwork quiting? |

You know....... we've been together for 47 years.
There was a day her nickname among my friends was "Dynamite".
But after half a Century has gone by...... neither one of us are considered "hot" by anyone. 
There is however a depth to our relationship where I will willingly go the extra mile or two as needed to make her smile.

My daughter, who named my car The Krakken, and my wife both love the idea. I also have to admit it looks kinda cool in a "70s, hippie acid trip, groovy" sorta way.
