Don't be silly, Dave. Mice get the same size passports as everyone else. Then they make nests out of the paper.

On a more serious note, how did you block off your ram air intake?

That factory plastic screen does little to nothing to ward off mice.

Expanded mesh cheap gutter guard (Lowe's now has them) meticulously applied paying careful attention to the upper portion of the intake.

Never have had any mice...............that I know about.................yet. When the weather warms, I'll do the front air intake and the shift lever.

When the heater box is taken apart to replace the blower, then I'll know if there were mice. Never had any smell.

Has anyone considered using 3M Thinsulate instead of the prodex? Seems like prodex is useless unless it has air on either side of it. So once it's covered by a fabric or carpeting what's the point in using it at all?

Prodex "works" by being an Infrared reflective barrier. it reflects IR whether covered or not. The closed cell foam inside the IR outer layers limits thermal transmission. It is the IR reflective property that does the most to keep warm or keep cool

I insulated my concrete block garage with 1" Poly-iso glued to the block inside, it is amazing how that thin barrier has changed the garage climate!
I know it is rigid but it is also surprisingly flexible and does not support combustion. The 1/2" is quite flexible and you can layer it.

With a lot of telephone help from Mark, crazyvwvanman, I was able to get power to the cruise control stalk. Hard to do much one armed but I will move onward with the testing.

I'm considering shipping my Westy to Ireland next year, so am watching this thread closely. That being said, without rewiring my van, could this be used for connecting to 220v mains in caravan parks? I'm electrically stoopit, but it seems right.

What do you want to power? Take a look at the specs on it. Most devices can handle 110 or 220V. If so you just need a physical adapter for the plug.

Using it at the mains connection to my onboard 110/120v battery charger.

Hmm check the power input (watts) needs of the charger you have. Or check the max power output and assume maybe 80% efficiency so multiply by 1.25 to get power input.

Be sure any converter is up to those specs.

I am doing some work to the euroBus in prep for taking it to Key West later this week.

As part of my prep I had the cluster off and the housing really has had all four corners broken. The upper ones badly. But this clamp saved the day. I love it.

That clamp is a nice solution. My cluster is broken too. I'll have to look into that or a similar solution.
