After a second coat there will be no bubbles if you are careful.

If you let the bubbles in the first coat stay they harden there and are noticeable. That was my experience.

Right, I meant the first coat has to be bubble free and perfect.

I pulled the trigger on the Yokohama Geolandar A/T tires 215/70/15.

I am very happy with them. They ride nice, no road noise. I took them up a shale trail about a mile to a gathering last weekend and they gave me way more confidence than the Nokian eNtyres would have.

$33,720
$600 for 5 tires
$150 mounted and balanced
$34,470

Finished off the lid for the storage bin under the floor.

I went with this handle. It was better quality than the marine handle of similar style and cheaper too.

Routed out the recess for the handles.

Hey guys

You don't need to hide weed anymore, unless you're worried about someone stealing it.

Well you can certainly fit quite a few pounds in there so maybe theft is a concern.

I had a metal shop precut and bend the pieces for me. A press brake would be a fun tool though. Cool

Do you have plans you made for the metal shop?

Can you post them if you do?

Great job on the box Dave. You sure are good at cutting big holes in your van Razz

My friend ntaraMorris has a similar box that houses his propex, 125aH LiFePo4, and most of his aux battery system. I have been interested in filling that empty space, but I think I'm going to hold off and wait to use it house the battery for my future electric front diff Rolling Eyes

Agreed. I made the latches big and easy to see. I did not want to hide it from view. Definitely do not want it to look too suspicious.

Really a great box. Very clean installation. I've been thinking of doing this for years, but right now I'm a tad over inventoried with holes which need tidying up. Three before I leave on a 700 mile trip in two more days. As one of my friends used to say, "No hill for a climber".

Planning on making my box from fiberglass and tapering it a bit under the door threshold so it's less visible from the side.

I went to Horrible Freight and bought some tools for the euroBus. (Not all these are from HF).

1/2" breaker bar
1/2" 19mm deep socket
3/8" and 1/4" metric sockets
3/8"/1/4" combo 72 pt ratchet, extendable (I really like this one)
screw drivers
Metric wrench set
socket extentions
hammer
tape measure
box knives
drift/punches
miscellaneous torx and other driver bits
impact screw driver
adjustable wrenches, medium and large
0-80 ft/lbs torque wrench
pry bar
vice grips (real ones) regular and needle nose
tire air compressor
multimeter analog
pliers
wire cutters
CV joint 12 pt allen tool
rear brake adjuster
circlip pliers
mini hack saw and blades
zip ties
bailing wire

Supplies:
rescue tape
silicon glue
Goop glue
3M 5200 adhesive
JB weld regular
JB weld high temp
Gorilla tape
nitrile gloves
tire repair kit
wheel bearing grease

Did I miss anything?
Maybe a 46mm socket?

$34,620
$300-ish tools
$34,920 total

I'll have a list of spare parts later.....
