My 57 had the tail light holes cut to fit teardrops from 2 beeHive holes. This one looks to be made for factory teardrops, 58 up ? The Deck looks wider too. Maybe a B or C?

The other car the rear section is sitting on is a 1967 912. The picture was how I found them a the local metal recycler last Friday. Couldn't believe what I was seeing actually. They were both literally 10 minutes from going into the Bailer. I blocked them with my work truck until I could find the owner and make a deal. The 67 is just a shell with doors and wheels, steering and suspension. Someone took it to the scrap yard with the title!! So I actually got the title for it before it was submitted to the dmv.

Well that is good to hear. Even rough cars deserve to come back as outlaws or something. Crazy to think someone would take scrap prices for the rear and for the shell with a title.

I scrap hundreds of cars annually. Mostly mini vans and Ford tauras like vehicles. So yeah I thought it was crazy too. Very seldom do you see anything pre 1975 at the scrap yards anymore. I did a double take and locked in. Laughing .

So any thoughts on how to identify the year of the 356 piece? It has original paint in the door jam. Looks to be a Burgundy or maroon color.
