|

Hey everyone,
I'm having trouble finding someone near me (Bay Area, Palo Alto to be specific) that will do any non-insurance work. I'd like to get some basic body work done and have the entire car painted. I can find someone to media blast but it's all for nothing if I can't get the car primed and painted shortly thereafter.
Does anyone know a shop within a reasonable distance? I am not looking for a car show paint job, it's a driver, but I'd like it to look nice on the road.
Thanks! |

As I feared...it looks like the answer is probably "there isn't a shop". :/
Does anyone know of any shops that are a reasonable distance? I'd be amenable to Reno or San Diego or something. A friend explained recently that getting paint done in Nevada is better than California due to something regarding water based paint. Is there validity to this? |

Call Skinner Auto Body in Vacaville. They are bus specialists, but should give you some other Pros to call if they don't want to do it. _________________ https://imgur.com/user/FisherSquareback/posts

Smittys Autobody in Meadow Vista just did front end repair to my Thing. He has lots of photos on facebook and on instagram-just search the net. He does really high end cars as well as daily drivers too and they do a very good job.
I called the place in Vacaville when looking for a shop and it was 2 months before they could even get a parking spot on their lot for my car.
Doesn't hurt to call.
