Do you think there's a market for a T4/914 kit that has a deck height tool and tools to measure chamber volume? I've been making small T1 batches of thick steel deck height tools that come with a dial indicator. I could easily do the same for the T4.

I'd buy one.

Why not make it so it works on many engines?

Oh I know, it would lower sales. Razz

Totally kidding. But, actually was wondering, why doesn't it work on a type-4?

The deck plates could have been easily made with two patterns, but I guess they were short-sighted. Anyways, they're less than 1/2" thick, and flex when you torque the cylinder down, giving a false reading. I make them from 1" thick carbon steel.

Not totally clear, but if I'm understanding right, looks like it can fit many engines if you make slots instead of holes.
