Congrats on the find and the save, what are your plans for them? |
I’m posting classified in samba for parts of the 65 for sale or trade for parts for the 58 (1958: going for title and running. Correct as possible with no budget.) by no budget I meen money isn’t in the budget so the VW will have to pay for its self. |

One of the rims I got with the bugs is this 15 inch bus(?) am I right?
They aren’t cheap anymore
What should I ask?
I’d like to get a deck lid in trade for it...am I out of line?

I know you didn't ask for pricing idea in the bus section- but I can share an opinion about value here. Decklids for your car are in $50-150 range. This rim is pretty rusty around the bead- so once it's media blasted it will need some surfacing in order to paint or powder coat it and have it hold air. At a bus swap meet it's liable to be in the $30-$40 range at most based on condition. Good ones are fetching $50-$60 to give an idea. My price experiences are all west-coast however, if it helps. _________________

Thanks Everett
So $20 + that bus rim = a useable deck lid? |

Looks like a solid and complete 36hp engine you've got there! Nice work bringing this car back to life. |

I think this engine has been stored inside
probably since it was separated from the original car
Thanks for the kind words
Moral support means a lot as this was not part of the plan
but I’m just gonna roll with it
I guess the best way is to not say no
And say yes to the right things
So when y’all say yes I say yes too.
Say yes to not crushed bugs |

She went to court with me so I’d say yes
I’d say the problem is with me
I’ve built a 67 bug from scratch before so I know what I’m up against
I start school in the fall and an internship next week
So I can’t go overboard. |
