Location: Crappy town in a crappy state. But the beach is nearby, so I have that going for me.

I've seen people get the VW mount and stuff it in a HF engine stand. The generic stand can be made to work, but it can be a pain.

Me, I just got the Empi engine stand. I'm not gonna be building anything other than VW engines, so no point in buying a generic stand.

Please use the dedicated Engine Stand topic: https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=288599

The short answer is Yes. I have a HF stand with a VW Alley yoke. Stay away from EMPI, they are weak and will bend.
