I've finally taken my '67 off of the jack stands and lowered it onto all four wheels after swapping the trans and replacing the coil-over-shocks with traditional shocks and Z-bars. I also reset the spring plate angle at 21 degrees (a bit over the specked 19.5 - 20.5 degrees). At rest, the Z-bars are resting on the rubber stops. In other words, the rubber stop is sitting in the cup bolted to the end of the axle on both sides. Is this normal? It's been a long time since I owned a '67. _________________ Dave

If you look at the photos the rubber snubber will or should compress. The 68 being the same rear suspension and in stock format the vehicle will squat a lil in the rear. _________________ Volkswagen: We tune what we drive.
Numbers Matching VW's are getting harder to find. Source out the most Stock vehicle and keep that way. You will be glad you did.
