77 camper.
Is it possible to set up the child cot with the head rests installed in the back seat of the front seats?
Before putting the head rests in, could do it, but with a quick try with headrests installed, does not seem the cot can be placed in its' brackets due to interference of the headrests
Also, seems like once the headrests are in.. you can't remove them?
Thanks for your comments. _________________ 1955 3-fold semaphore Oval beetle

no ‘77 camper manual in the archive, but here’s the ‘76:

no, cot requires the head rests to come out by pulling upward, or so says the owner’s manual. _________________ 1978 Champaign Edition Westfalia

The 75 salesman brochure shows a great picture of the child's cot. It's in the Archives above |

Thanks, perhaps I am not pulling up hard enough, but have pulled upward pretty darn hard!
I thought I remember someone saying once the headrests are in, they do not come out...
Dont really recall seeing any locking mechanism there... _________________ 1955 3-fold semaphore Oval beetle

I find if I push up from under the head rests they eventually pop out, pressing up each side in alternation to start it moving. _________________ Ancient vehicles and vessels

Try rocking them side to side when pulling up. They are stuck from resting. A Light sanding of the tubes and silicone or any other lube will do it for the next time _________________ SEB
