I bought a trailer last fall that was hobbled together by some farmer and it has 4 tires. 2 normal and 2 tires that as far as I can gather came from an old vw bus. One of the vw rims has a hole rusted in it that doesn't seem safe to put any weight on and I don't want to replace the whole axle or something. Money is tight. I'd rather just find a replacement rim but I want to make sure I get the right thing. As far as I can figure it's a 16" "wide 5 lug" rim. And I've had trouble finding a replacement for a 16 even on sites with custom rims. Only 15" seems to be available. Am I crazy? Can someone point me in the right direction on what to look for and where? Thank you in advance for any and all help.

Thanks so much! I googled it and found one. 2 different tire guys I talked to told me it was from a vw bus. I had no idea what I was looking for. |

English Ford Anglia wheel. Almost the same size bolt pattern, just a couple millimeters different. Will fit a VW. _________________ Joseph

That thing is rough! If your other tires look like that, I definitely wouldn't run them...
For the VW/Ford pattern axle, a pair of 15" or 14" (Bus or Thing?) wheels will drastically expand your trailer tire options. |

That is not a ford anglia wheel. That is an american late 30s Ford wheel. Not close to fitting a vw. Ford anglia do fit vws just fine.
American fords from 36-39 used a 5 on 10.25" pattern which is 5 on 260.35mm |
