My oldest piece is a newspaper: "Hamburger Fremdenblatt" from 13th August 1938
There, the beetle was still presented as a KdF Wagen.

I think my oldest memorabilia is a Sparkarte KDF stamp saving book full of stamps for the purchase of a soon-to-come KDF Beetle. This was booklet #4 of 4 needed to get a Beetle. First stamp added was dated 1/1944 and very last stamp needed to buy the KDF Beetle was stuck into this booklet in 1/1945. Owned by an Engineer in Graz, Austria. I doubt he ever got a Beetle, not sure if he even survived the end of WW2. But VW had the booklet, so I imagine that he or his surviving family turned it in for the court settlement in the 1960's.

Hello Bill,
can it be that 1953 is a spelling mistake? I also have a Sparkarte It is No. 2 of 4. It was dated 18.09.1939 and already has a stamp.
When I bought the Sparkarte I've got the receipt of the Sparkarte 1 of 4 as well. An elementary school teacher had started on 28.09.1938 to save for a beetle.
Regards

It looks like I have you beat by a couple months. The oldest literature in my collection is a newspaper dated 2 June 1938
which features a propaganda article on the factory cornerstone ceremony. The cover features a photo of Uncle Adolph
enjoying a ride in the V303 cabriolet.
I also have some old toys, but I don't know know which is the oldest. _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.

@ ZENVWDRIVER
But then you have a very special object in your collection.
@ Hitest
I've never seen the black pin before.
@ Blue Baron
I have the right model for your cover.

Thanks! You are right, a typo on my part, I went back and corrected the date in my initial post.
