I purchased some 5.5” AA smoothies recently and came to find out the backspacing is close to a stock wheel which is causing them to stick out too far. Does anyone know someone (hopefully in Florida) that can cut the centers out and move them farther out? I know I can get custom ones made but I’m concerned the profile will be different.

Ask at a couple local Muffler Shops who does it in Central Florida.

Look for a shop that specializes in wheels and see if they do it or know who does. I have friends with wheel shops and they both can fo it but they're in Canada.theyve both made wheels for me. It's easy with the right tools.

Went to a local shop and also spoke to a place in MI and they both said no go on modifying these. Smittys will cut the center out and use their barrels, but I'm afraid the profile will be different. Trying to find someone to widen a set of stock rims now.

Look at the samba classifieds. There's shops that widen wheels.

There’s shops that offer widened wheels, but I haven’t found anyone to widen existing wheels. I ended up just buying a set from one of those vendors.

Nope. Sent pics and they said no go.

I ended up having to buy a new set.
