Just recently, I have noticed a few regular Samba users selling on the classifieds have more than one name/identity. Why? Is this misleading, dishonest or are they trying to dodge bad feedback?

Name and shame and then report them. From my understanding it’s against the rules. I’ll bet I could guess who it is. Maryland?

You can report the accounts to me via email or via the Report button in a specific ad and I will check it out.
There are several people that have been reported in the past but it turned out they were different family members.
There are also a couple people that have requested they have one account for their formal business sales only and one for personal usage.
I personally think this is unnecessary and confusing but it has been allowed as long as everything is 100% separate.

Absolutely disagree with this. IMO, it allows disreputable people to hide.

This is possible but less than the people who simply make a new account to avoid issues.
When it's for ad usage (which is not always the case):
It's more like new parts sales versus random old junk and both ids are linked to the same feedback thread so not really.

Send me the info, this sounds strange
FWIW, Mark Evans sent me some info on 2 people but it was someone that had contacted me recently as they wanted to make sure it was ok to have another account for a different family member.

Not as strange as I thought. And I feel like a bit of a jerk.
I've been dealing with family members who have the same name and similar cars.
They'd each responded to some of my classified ads independently.
Simply a family sharing their passion for VWs.
