Has anyone made their own escutcheons for the hood/windshield fasteners located in the middle of the front hood?

They seem to be made of some sort of clear plastic. The ones I have the holes for the screws are too large. I am not sure what material to use to make my own.

Thanks for that link but shipping and handling is 25.00 for those small parts, and with no photo and being unable to verify that part number I am going to pass on ordering it.

I need 2 of the larger ones for the hood.

I may just have to go that route. The last set I purchased were thin and smaller than the size of the metal fastener.

You can make them out of a clear plastic bottle
Or buy them here
http://www.thingparts.com/escutcheon-kit/
I can ship them for 3.50
I’ll refund the extra shipping charge within 24 hours

The problem with the aftermarket seals are that they are cut short lengthwise and no mater how you position it there will be a small gap for water to enter the trunk.

My solution was to purchase my own material and cut my own true to the size of the fitting on the trunk.
