The final Pack 12 is supposed to be out in the middle of January. When it is, this model can be purchased all at once, instead of stages. _________________ "OG = Original German" -- TheSamba.com dictionary |

There's also a 1:8 accessory kit from another maker, that includes more realistic stainless steel license plates, and numbers that would have been registered in '62. Also some miniature post cards and a paper from that time period, to set the scene:

Do you already have the roof section? I thought the outer roof was metal and the headliner was plastic.

No I haven´t recieved that part yet. I read on a Facebook Group that a guy in London was complaining about that, seemed odd to me but there´s a posibilty they decided to used plastic to save some weight. |

Wow, you're exactly right, plastic inner and outer roof - I asked here also:
http://forum.us.model-space.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=32231&p=2
In looking at the roof in the above build, it doesn't look bad, or plastic, but that is very surprising. _________________ "OG = Original German" -- TheSamba.com dictionary |

Latest chapter on youtube. And this person too emphasizes the fact that the roof is plastic by flexing it several times in the video, glad I didn't drop the $ for this, I would not be happy learning the roof was plastic this far into this project. _________________ Regards,

Thanks for posting that video. Until I had actually seen the plastic roof, I had thought the plastic was going to look completely fake. After seeing the video, I can live with that, I couldn't tell it was plastic until he twists it. This is still the best Bus model ever made.
Looking forward to seeing you complete yours, OP! _________________ "OG = Original German" -- TheSamba.com dictionary |
