I just realized that most of the magazines you guys are sharing are in Spanish, I can understand pretty well that language, but just out of curiosity, do you know why?
I know that it is pretty common something called "fasciculos", which is basically a weekly magazine. That magazine is focused for a topic, and each week it has a different peace of a miniature, do you know if that was only common in Spain?, thanks!! |
Hey Petter,
Here in México is the same thing than in Spain and another countries of Europe, as far as I know France has the same method of distribution of magazines, in my opinion is more exating to get a "Fascículo" each week instead of receive a package with all the pieces to complete your model (England and US have finished their models with this distribution method). However due this coronavirus thing, distribution has been affected and takes more than one week for a new installment to release, originally model should be completed by the last week of October, but now the finish date is uncertain. It´s been almost 2 years and a half working on my model. |
That is interesting, to be honest I was a bit exceptical it was only down there .
Wow, almost 2 years... that is quite a lot... I still remember when I used to do this "fascículo" thing, I did it for the dinosaur one, I don't know if you remember that starts with the skeleton T. Rex, then the skin, I think it continues with another one... anyway, I do remember that it used to take a lot of time, but it was cool the pleasure of getting the new piece.
But what I really remember, what I loved it was to build and specially finish the mode . However, as older I am getting, it seems my patient is reducing at the same speed, so these days normally I buy either the model with all the pieces, or directly the model, for example like I did with a couple of samba bus model I got during the year.
However, I am wondering if they are still doing this collection thing for the samba in some country? I saw for Spain these days about classic kid books, and a really cool one about the Lancia Delta (that epic car) _________________ ... If you're going to San Francisco

Assembly No. 94
T3 Mods.
With the widest variety of Transporter third-generation engines, preparers had more opportunities than ever to unleash their mechanical creativity. Oettinger, for example, went on to develop a six-cylinder engine that made the T3 a totally different van.

T1 and the surfers
Originally from Polynesia and popularized in the Western world during the first half of the 20th century, surfing became a cultural phenomenon during the 1960s and has been growing ever since. Surfers have found Volkswagen vans an ideal ally for their activities.

T5 Engines
The fifth generation of the Transporter continued with mechanical solutions similar to those of its predecessor, but also brought new features. Gasoline direct injection engines and biturbo diesel engines were among them.

The headlightslook too small in the book, but perfect on the model. The bullet turn signals are larger as well. It looks like they fixed things during development.
I'm starting to like this model a lot more! _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.
