|

Hi everyone, I just bought a 57 oval, it needs everything. So, just pulled my seats to get a better look at what's left of the floor pans. it seems that I may not have what should be typical floor pans for that year, and I'm trying to figure out if this makes sense. The seats were attached with 2 clamps tightened with wing nuts, on either side of the chair, and the chair bottoms were tubular steel that seat directly onto the metal floor bottom. There are no seat rails of any kind attached to the seat pans, only 2 bolts sticking out of the floor for each seat. The vin number says this should be a July 57 chassis, and the body stamp says June 57, (or visa versa) so I'm assuming my date is correct. No semaphores. Of note, I'm in Canada, so maybe this isn't a US spec, but maybe European? |

thanks for the reply, so to be clear, Deluxe models for 56-57 have sliding seats with the seat rails welded to the floor, but standard models have tubular seat frames and the wing nut adjustment?
Did this standard/deluxe difference continue into the post oval bugs? Did the 54-55 only have this wing nut configuration? Thanks! Steve. |
