Howzabout Velcro or snaps for the pop-up tent?

I would like to be able to detach my tent from the bus while the top is up, and roll it up into the roof. I know because of the geometry the tall corners would need to be cut, and seamed with velcro. But I see no reason to NOT do this.
I'm not gonna shred my new tent. It's too easy to make new panels.
Just wondering if anyone's ever done/seen this.
And yes, it did come to me in a dream!

Interesting idea, do keep in mind that canvas is sortof structural, when it's detached the pop top will wobble side to side alarmingly, you may need some cross brace wires.
