Gents-

To be sure, is this layout accurate for a 1600cc type 1 engine?
Just want to be certain on the name/location of each corresponding bearing/rod/cylinder?

Thank you

I just looked at again... so I am clear, the last connecting rod (closest to the flywheel) goes to the #1 cylinder on right?

No, like your illustration, n°3 is closest rod to the flywheel, and is on the left.
