did do a lot of work lately
motor out
all glass out
headliner out
whole interior out
steering wheel out
all the bolts that hold the chassis to the fame out -went remarkable smoothly
chassis now loose and lifted it a bit up

and off course here some questions
- is it normal they used nails to fasten trims rubbers etc...

I don't have answers to your other questions but here is what I bought to look inside the various cavities in my Ghia:
USB Endoscope, Potensic 2 In 1 Digital Endoscope Borescope/Waterproof Camera 2.0 Megapixels, 6 LED Lights and Snake Wire - 16.4 ft (5 m)
It is currently unavailable on Amazon.com but this one looks identical and IS available:
USB Endoscope, Depstech 2 in 1 Semi-rigid Borescope Inspection Camera 2.0MP CMOS HD Waterproof Snake Camera with 6 Adjustable Led for Android, Windows & Macbook OS Computer- 16.4 ft(5M)
You will need an Android phone to use either one.

Yes. For example these are the original tacks that were used to anchor the lower end of the rear windlace in my '71 cabriolet.

Here's a photo before countersinking the screws I used to replace the tacks.

When I was a young apprentice, they were called Drive Nails; and yes we drove thousands of them through the floor pans to hold the carpets down, now I look back and cringe thinking about all the rust I was guilty of inflicting on owners cars, Embarassed

I generally use a small nail puller or a pair of end cut cutters, just gently grab the head and rock it out.

I don't reuse then.
I will use glue on the weatherseals and I'll use screws almost everywhere else. Usually stainless steel for a lot of strength isn't required to hold up a carpet corner.

If the hole is too big, just weld it closed.
