Do you folks double check the tightness on the strainer plate after the first ride after to change the oil?

How many times do you check? I always feel that they are a little looser after the first couple rides.

You may want to check your plate to make sure the holes haven't been pulled in and not sealing the gasket. Put a straight edge across one and if it's not flat you can fix it by getting something hard that will fit in the bolt area and gently hammer the other (gasket) side flat.

It’s flat. Not leaking either. Just can get an additional snug up in it after a heat cycle.
