MSD is hardly the reliability gold standard for the rest of the automotive community. Generally the company is viewed as a necessary evil that may leave you stranded at any time

jaycee enterprises sold locked out big 40hp distributors for years and years. he only started making his own because of parts availability and good distributor cores
