I have an 8 x 12 shed full of various parts that I 'inherited' after my Pop's passing a couple of years ago. I too, am a classic VW lover, but am lacking in his knowledge about years and which parts are what.
At at this point in time, I have no area in which to start any tear down style rebuild projects and have to be satisfied with enjoying our 67', 'Annie B', but figured I could sit down this spring / summer and do some 'inventory'.
Any help in identifying the years / type / etc of the parts pictured would be greatly appreciated ! Thank you in advance !
Hoods & Decks:
Fenders:
A couple of the shifters:
A mostly rebuilt engine (earlier one ?):
Thank you again for any and all input ! _________________ 'Annie B' - 67' Beetle

Mid 1963 through 1967 hood.
1958 through 1963 decklid. Can also pass for early 1964.
1973 and newer non-Super hood, possibly Mexican manufacture.
1968-1969 Deluxe or 1968 and newer Standard decklid.
1974 and newer Deluxe/Super, can pass for 1972 and newer for non-resto.
Possibly 1968 and newer Deluxe/Standard fenders that have had the turn signal holes filled, more likely they're Mexican or aftermarket manufacture.
The left one is a Mexican Beetle shifter, can be used in any 1968 and newer 4 speed Bug. The right one looks like a Bugpack or similar Hurst knockoff, aftermarket shifter for 4 speed Beetles. _________________ 1960 Ragtop w/Semaphores "Inga" |

Man, I love the knowledge you guys have and share It's like 1000 of my Pop's in one handy forum (Although, no offense, I'd take one more phone call with him first, in a heart beat, if I could)
TY very much ! _________________ 'Annie B' - 67' Beetle
