I own an 56 Ragtop with a 67 Transmission from an 1500.
I have an 1776 with a Kennedy Stage 1 Pressure Plate.
I can do what I want, when I press the Cluth Pedal, the Clutch comes after 5cm when I release the Pedal.
When I go in Reverse Gear I always have a Scratch.

Anyone have a Tip?

Sounds like the tranny is well used. Might be time to rebuild it. How many miles on it? Heavy gas pedal foot? City driving?

Cant tell you, the old Mechanic put it in.
People tell me its about the Clutch Release Arm, older Transmissions have a longer one.
