I will going to buy 1967, samba 21 window. But in these days there was a production facility (Cifcitiler Auto) in Turkey. Owner sent me vin palettes. Bus have 2 Vin plattes. One original other one belongs to Turkish factory. Chassis numbers same! But i want to make sure that bus is original. Owner says they owned this bus since 45 years and it is impossible to convert it. Can someone help me?

Those plates show the bus to be a 1966 11-window standard microbus. Not a 21-window bus.

Please do the following ,know and understand
1st UPPER right hand corner of THESAMBA GO TO TECHNICAL
THEN READ the following beneath that heading
Vin chassis number
Then read how to read m codes
Then study m codes
Then read export code
Will help you out a lot

You can swap VINs and chop roofs- but that dash clock looks crooked to me. Without even looking up- you can feel behind the clock and tell if the metal has been punched at the factory or chopped for the clock.

A birth certificate isn't going to help you verify its a 21 window from that vin plate. You're only going to find out info on what this bus used to be or what the vin plate came from. Lind already told you the vin is from an 11 window standard. But if the vin has been swapped look by the battery tray for the real vin if it hasn't been cut out. Also look for belly pans. A real 21 window should have them. If the vin in the engine bay doesn't match and is the vin to a deluxe, I think I would still stat away from it. The bus may have been stolen. |

Very smart move....drive out to Malatya Erhac air base and find the Kombi I left there in 1970.
