anyone know where I can buy the tiny springs that push the contact plates up on a turn signal switch. 2-3 mm in diameter and maybe 8 mm tall. if anyone has a junk switch and would part with a tiny spring or two that would be great.i bought a nice switch but it was missing these springs. thanks

Your local corporate auto parts store has a huge selection of springs for sale.

I've bought packs of assorted auto-related springs before, but they never have the kind of tiny precision springs such as discussed here. Perhaps an auto parts store with a huge selection might have one but I'm not too hopeful.

Now, I might be more tempted to try to adapt springs as found in cheap retractable ball point pens...

I do not know how to fix this. All I can say is it all works fine for me with what I use, Firefox.

Probably a Montblanc pen spring would work as found.
Some people have to have vw springs for vw cars.
I told a lady once after I had got her POS MBZ 180? Running that I had used some vw bolts on it, she went white like a ghost oh the horror.

I just lost one the other day. A cut down ballpoint pen spring is fractionally too big, but I was able to open up the hole in the Tufnol where it sits until it fitted. I used a drill bit..HELD BETWEEN MY FINGERS, NOT IN A DRILL. it only took a couple of turns. The Tufnol is very soft.
Cheers,
Iain
