I am a doing wiring harness replacement in my 69 DOKA. I have a NOS ( new to me ) VDO tach that goes in a bus but am not sure of how to wire it

It has 4 slots for wires in the back of the tach

From left to right: one marked 12V , one marked 6V ( which has no terminal) and then two other terminals one of which looks like it has a "1" above it

I assume one is gauge power, one is a ground and one goes to + on coil correct

Thanks

Guzzirider, I have a VDO tach in my 1973 Bay. The 12v goes to switched power, a black wire on mine, the - goes to ground, brown wire on mine, and the 1 goes not to the coil positive, but to the coil connection that goes to the distributor. Mine is old school with points, not sure if electronic ignition would need something else in between. Hooking to the coil positive(IIRC, black number 15) may blow the tach. The tach signal wire needs some sort of signal to tell it how many times the ignition is triggering. On my van(oops, bus) that is a green wire.
