I recently bought a battery cover and had it powdercoates. However, on closer inspection it is smaller than my other battery cover and doesn’t fit my battery.

Can anyone tell me what it’s for?

The smaller one looks like what I have and it sits perfectly on my group 19L 6 volt battery.

The one on the right looks like a split beetle cover.

What are the measurements?
Here's a pic I posted a while back with measurements.

Agree the one on the right looks like a Split Bug/Barndoor battery cover

I found 4 different shaped battery covers. Here is a couple pics. The one with 3 cutouts in the sides is a split/barndoor from what i've seen on here.

The other 3 are just for different shaped batteries for later cars?

I forgot the link in my post above - I added it

This

I wonder if Ovals/50s cars had a slightly smaller battery and cover from the factory?
