Heating Control Cable Clip 1975-79 211 259 325 B

Does anyone have a suggestion for how keep the cables seated on the climate lever unit if you don't have the retainer clip or like in my case you broke it trying to get it to snug back down. It was impossible to the point I was bending the metal where the cables seat.

I tried zip ties, but no go. The center ones keep popping out. You can see that the original retainer is shaped in such a way to pressure the middle as well as the outside cables.

Pretty sure the part is not being repopped and its kind of a tough one to find in the classifieds.

I made a clamping plate out of something like 1/16" thick steel, drilled a couple of small holes (for maybe #6 screws) and bolted it over the cables.

Yea, that clip was a pig! getting it to snap back on was a nightmare. I am glad it was not just me.

Thanks TCash. That picture isn't quite the one that came off my bus. Looks like it wouldn't quite fit the right shape. But it did lead to the correct part # which is 211259325B. Found from the Classified listing you posted. Always amazing that others find what you've tried to look for.
