Karmann bumper interchange?

So i tried to search this, but could not find a answer, soooooo the question is! Can you use 67 ghia bumpers on a 71? Have a chance for a nice set if 67 bumpers, car is a 71 body works was done years ago with no bumpers so i have no body holes.
Anyone know?

Yes, 1967 bumpers will fit on a 1971, but the rear overriders on the 1967-69 bumpers wrap around the corners whereas the 1970-71 overriders do not. See this thread for details:

The fronts are all the same through'71, but the rear bows/"towel bars"with U.S. spec.got shorter '70 &'71. If you have a line on Euro bumpers, no worries.
But------if you try to use '66 and older rear blades, the corners will stick into the wheel opening.
