Hi! We are a custom body and collision shop called Metal Mayhem in Snowflake, AZ. We wanted to show you one of the builds we did on a customers 1965 VW Bus. The customer came in wanting to have the body work fixed, complete interior and exterior paint as well as, replace the rubbers & moldings, sunroof repair, install bumpers, R&R wheels & tires, window tint, and to detail the van in full. After a few months of work, and some loving time the bus, we were able to complete the final look of the bus. Attached you will find the finished product of what we have finished, and plan on continuing on other VW restorations. Please don't hesitate to check out our website, Facebook, or Instagram page to see some of the other work we have done in the past!

The post sounds more like an advertisement for a business than anything else. Also, the bus mentioned is not a split windshield 1965, but rather a bay window bus. _________________ 1960 Ragtop w/Semaphores "Inga" |

Am I wrong to have had this pegged the moment I saw "Snowflake" AZ? _________________

Not sure why the pictures are not up loading. When I posted it yesterday it showed up blank, and for some reason still shows blank on my screen. We did some work on that van and wanted to show off the finalized photos of how it came out. I mentioned our links so anyone can see some of our other builds that we have done/are in the process of doing. If it has been posted in the wrong thread, I apologize; I was trying to research throughout the different threads to see which one would've been the better thread. |

Looks like 69/70 to me. Definitely NOT a 65, or 75. _________________ 1968 Deluxe "Clipper L" Type 2

This is such a blatant advertisement, which I thought was not permitted. Don't move it to the Bay Window forum - just remove it.
Also, if the restorer thinks this is a '65 bus, he obviously has no idea what he is doing, or what he is doing it to.
It's also not a restoration, as in bring it back to original. It is a customization, meaning that it is made into something new that the customer apparently wanted. No bus like this was ever made by VW. _________________ John

Yes, it has some advertising content.
Shops are allowed to post VWs they are working on in the Forums too, even though it will have some advertising aspect to the post.
Of course they run the risk of inviting comments on the work which they may not like, same a an individual working on a vehicle. _________________ How to Post Photos
