Yes hood has some damage, but completely salvageable... Learn to work fiberglass.... Yes its dirty nasty work (it's the dust you know)... I have fixed a lot worse...
You have other areas to repair on body so learning fiberglass is probably going to be in your future, or you are going to give a bodyshop big bucks to have it done...

You’re absolutely right pretty much nothing I’ve haven’t done before but fiberglass i have avoided like the plague...I don’t see any cracks anywhere other than the hood, but there are miscellaneous holes for whatever reason drilled in various places and two big holes where the Meyers Manx plate should be for heat outlets wtf? heat 😳 _________________ THE FEW THE PROUD THE ORIGINAL VW WATERBOXER -> looking for a original 91 vanagon owners manual with 1991 on the cover http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmuiG2tUsP4&feature=share https://picasaweb.google.com/101290228103300323836/BostonBobFlywheelVideo#5543000332201103922 |

There is a small group coming East from SoCal in the first part of August heading to the Manx Around The Mountain Event in Maggie Valley SC. You may contact them and see if any will have a support vehicle that may transport a hood for you.
Another member that lives very near to Richmond VA may be coming and he most likely will have his enclosed trailer to get it back to Richmond. _________________ Bad News Racing 2018 NORRA 1000 3rd in Class

Everyone is gifted. Some just do not open the package.

Yes we will have a support vehicle joining us in AZ. If you can let us know by July 1, we could probably get this arranged.
