|
|
Hello, with the dual solex carb setup, using the factory linkage, does anyone have a photo of description of the installation of the factory throttle return spring?
Also, should I wire the electric chokes for 12v power full time when the engine is on, or does this circuit run through some sort of controller to switch off the power when the temperatures are high or a time limit has been exceeded?
Thanks |

The springs go from a hole in the bellcrank for the linkage, to the hoop in the upper cooling tin.
Chokes are powered from the coil power wire (use 1 of the multiple connectors on the coil (terminal 15)). _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Also note that the choke power is unfused, as is the entire ignition coil power circuit as originally wired by VW.
So, in other words, don't drop one of those carb linkage rods down onto the choke wire with the ignition on. _________________ 1965 Volkswagen 1500 Variant S

Bob Notch...thanks for that link as I will be needing it. Just got delivered my new pre owned used carbs qty4, intakes qty4, linkage, and air cleaner. I will be removing the Weber center mount and have the correct carbs on the engine. _________________ Volkswagen: We tune what we drive.
