Stub Axle Grease?

Replacing the rear brake backing plates and am wondering if the stub axle splines should be greased at all? I see recommendations to put anti-seize on the threads for the axle nuts, but what about the axle splines themselves? Greased or dry?

I would grease them to prevent rust and to prevent/lessen galling should there by any movement. I have an #2 EP moly grease in my grease gun and would use it here. Others will surely have varying opinions.
