1962 vw beetle.how thick is the minimum?.or how thick are they new?.trying to gauge whether i need new shoes or not before i finish putting it together.i got 3 differant answers online.thanks!! getting close!!!!. |

Probably about 1/8 to 3/16 inch or 3-4 mm if new....

Dale's right about the thickness, but also look at the wear of the shoes if it's even before putting them back in or if the shoes have any shiny or greasy spots. _________________ '56 pan Dune Buggy since '69

thanks guys.ya they r even and look to be new.someone had done alot of brake work(everythings new) but must have never finished the buggy.thanks again.without this sight i would be doing alot of guess work. |
