I'm having a slight issues with my wiring, can't get turn signals to work. I'm using a Rebel Wiring 8 fuse panel, LED rear lights, everything else is basic Volkswagen. I'm using a later turn switch with high beams on the turn stalk. All lights work, park, brake, hazards, high and low beam, but when I try the turn signals I get a I get a "click" from the horn relay, no lights, just a click when I move the switch. I removed the relay, no click. Everyone I have talked to says "It's a ground". I think if it were a ground the hazards wouldn't work. Jeremy at Rebel Wire has been a lot of help but I am stumped. I leave up to you guys, what say you? |

Individual turn signals or are they the same as the brake lights? |
Yes basic question here from jpsbrown!
VW turn Signal switch is designed to work with a single filament bulb (or single filament in dual filament bulb) VW switch IS NOT designed to work with STOP & TURN filament combined in bulb...
Also if all LEDS on turn signals you need a ELECTRONIC LED compatible flasher or if using old thermal flasher you will need load resistors on at least one LED lamp on each side...
Your horn relay clicks when trying to use turn signal is either defective column switch or wiring error...
Originally VW did not use horn relay, so you have to adapt Rebels wiring to operate with VW columns switches...
